Welcome to Don Predrick Maha Vidyalaya, one of the oldest and most respected government schools in the Kalutara District. Since our founding in 1878, we have been committed to providing quality education that shapes well-rounded, disciplined citizens.
Our motto "සදා සිත් ද සෙපය" and our identity as "හොරණ නගරයේ හදවත" (The Heart of Horana) reflects our central role in the community and our mission to develop students with knowledge, skills, and strong character who uphold equality, lawfulness, and moral responsibility as a government school.
With over 2000 students and nearly 100 qualified teachers, we continue to excel in academics, traditional arts, sports, and character development. Our improved O/L pass rate of 84% and consistent university admissions reflect our commitment to excellence as a government 1AB National School.
